Human chat with no conversation or seat caps

Tidio is a simple multi-platform live chat with a free plan to get started. Reponse gives Shopify stores the helpdesk, unlimited human live chat and seats without billing them, with the Ambassador agent selling from day one: a 14-day trial up to 500 AI tasks, then $0.05 per AI task. No conversation your team handles is metered.

Why leave Tidio?

Your team's work never billed, every AI agent at work from day one.

Your team's work is never billed

Tickets, shared inbox, unlimited human live chat, reviews, loyalty and referrals: your team uses them with no meter running and no seat to pay for.

Unlimited seats

Tidio includes up to 10 seats. On Reponse, add as many team members as you want, with no per-seat fee.

AI by the task, no separate add-on

Every AI agent works during a 14-day trial, up to 500 AI tasks at no charge, then each AI task costs $0.05, where Lyro is sold as an add-on from $32.50 for 50 conversations.

No cap on human chat

Tidio counts every conversation a human replied to. On Reponse, your teammates answer as many customers as they want, and none of it is counted.

Scenario: Hesitation on a size

With Tidio

At Tidio, the sizing question is handled by Lyro AI Agent, which answers from the merchant's support content and opens a ticket for a human agent when it cannot answer. Lyro is billed per AI conversation: after the first 50 free lifetime conversations, the add-on starts at $32.50/month for 50 conversations, on top of the Tidio plan.

With Reponse

The Ambassador agent asks for the customer's measurements, recommends the size for this specific garment from the Shopify product data and adds the right variant to the cart before Shopify checkout. If a member of your team would rather answer in live chat, nothing is counted.

A fair pricing model

No seat and no human ticket to pay for: only the AI's work, by the task. See the difference with Tidio.

Billing is based on "billable conversations" (a conversation in which a human agent replied), not on seats: 100 included on Starter, from 250 on Growth, with up to 10 seats included on self-serve plans.
The Lyro AI Agent is billed as a separate add-on, starting at $32.50/mo for 50 Lyro conversations; Flows is another add-on, starting at $24.17/mo for 2,000 visitors reached.
Removing Tidio branding is a paid add-on ($16.67/mo), and the Plus tier starts at $300/mo plus monthly usage.

FAQ

Reponse or Tidio, in plain terms

How does Reponse's pricing model compare with Tidio's?

Tidio bills the conversations a human agent handles (100 included on Starter, from 250 on Growth), includes up to 10 seats, and sells its Lyro AI Agent as a separate add-on from $32.50/mo. Reponse works the other way round: human live chat and seats are never counted, and it is the AI's work you pay for. Reponse is one plan at $0 a month, with unlimited human live chat and seats and every AI agent. A 14-day trial covers up to 500 AI tasks at no charge; then each AI task costs $0.05, from the first one, on your Shopify invoice and within the budget you set. The details are on our pricing page.

What happens to my Tidio data if I move to Reponse?

Reponse does not import your Tidio conversation history, your Flows or your saved replies, so export them from Tidio before you close the account.

On the store side there is nothing to re-enter: the Shopify sync pulls in products, variants, collections, inventory and orders, and webhooks keep them current, so the agent has catalog and order context from day one. On your store, the change is turning Tidio off and turning on the Reponse app embed in the theme editor.

When is Tidio still the better choice?

If your store is not on Shopify, choose Tidio.

It installs on about fifteen platforms (WordPress, WooCommerce, Wix, BigCommerce, Adobe Commerce), whereas Reponse is built for Shopify and relies on its data. Tidio is also the right tool if you want to draw deterministic scripted paths yourself in its visual Flows builder, because Reponse has no drag-and-drop flow builder: its agents reason over your catalog, your policies and the customer's order history. And if all you need is live chat for a small team outside Shopify, Tidio's free plan already covers it.

Which team is each tool a fit for?

Tidio targets small multi-platform teams that want live chat with plenty of included seats and add AI as an option when the need appears.

Reponse is for Shopify merchants who want customer experience consolidated in one tool: an AI support inbox with human handover, an AI sales agent connected to the catalog, reviews, loyalty and referrals. The trade-off is between a light, platform-agnostic chat on one side and a Shopify-centric CX suite on the other.
